Two Divided By Two

This week, Poetic Bloomings posted an Ekphrastic poetry prompt. An Ekphrastic poem is a writing that comments upon another art form, for instance a poem about a photograph. The photograph for this week’s prompt was supplied by Sheryl Kay Oder and can be found here.

(Don't) Walk Away

Two
people
walk away
from a life shared.
Little cracks beneath them become bigger,
swallowing them into indifference.
Love cannot grow
on its own.
It takes
two.
